For any blog followers, I am going to try to do a MUCH better job on keeping this updated!
I wanted to share some of last year's seniors because I love taking senior pictures; they are old enough to follow direction and I love the opportunity to capture the person they have found and become through their 18 years again.
Meet Marti; she was a senior at Gruver ISD and is now attending and rodeoing at OPSU. She will most definitely do great things.

It is known as 'America's past time' and a social spectator sport but in a small town for kids it is a place for competing and showing off the hard work they have put in over the last season. Last year was Gruver's first softball and baseball season, to open the second season they cut the ribbon on a aprx. 2.5 million dollar complex. After all, we are Texans; go big or go home! All turf and boy are we glad with the windy/dirt blowing baseball months this year!
It is another place in our little town where people gather and cheer on the youth; I simply love the athletics in a small town and the support kids experience. Even better, it teaches them hopefully to become supportive adults later.
Opening day... ribbon was cut, the town showed up, two special individuals threw out the first pitches, the stands were full, the playground equipment was crawling with kids, laughing and smiles everywhere, the future hounds and lady hounds watching wide eyed with anticipation and the hopes of the upcoming seasons... it was a Great Day.

Graduations are such a fun time yet scary, they mark a new beginning and most definitely change on the rise. Change can be scary because we are creatures of habit and get into our routine and a comfort zone but it is also a time of excitement; the unknown of what amazing things are coming and that a new world of opportunity is on its way!
Jessica graduates from OPSU this month and we had SO much fun shooting her pictures.
Good luck in the next step and all of them after! The world is your canvas... hope you make it beautiful! :) and most of all... CONGRATS!!

This is a family close to my heart; I basically lived at their house through high school. Other than leaving my socks in the living room, it was the perfect place for me. I was treated as much like family as an outsider can be... I am forever grateful for the kindness and fun I have had over the years with the Watley's.
This is the start of the fourth generation that has been around for Watley Seed Co.
Family legacies are almost as cool as watching your 'second parents' get to become grandparents with one of your "sisters" kids!!

The time is here... for Christmas Card pictures...
These two ladies are two of my favorites and there is never a dull moment; dogs, horses & Mary make for a great time with Sally.
Mary Long is 90+ and acts 25; she has a zest for life that is admirable and her stories are fabulous to sit around and listen too. She has lived and then lived again and I can honestly say I believe she isn't looking to stop anytime soon :)
The first photo embodies her and is why I love photography; catching each person in their own little environment.
This precious little girl is extra special! She has had a rough year and doesn't even know it yet.
She is the baby of 4 kids and the daughter of two fabulous parents.
Her daddy was tragically killed in a car wreck a few months back; she is the pillar of strength and reason to live. We don't get to pick our hardships and sometimes it is more difficult than others to look to God and say, it is your will and your way but watching them learn a "new normal" with so many new changes has been sad yet uplifting to witness.
